Google Plus - pivot circles with streams

Google Plus has some great features, and i think my idea would add to its strengths:

A dedupe feature for listening would be great. I see a lot of messages around the same topic - but I cannot easily sort and stack them.

One way to do this could be to aggregate posts similar to google news - THAT would be helpful to reduce clutter. And with the source mentioned I could pick the contact I would like to read this specific topic from.

Add a way to also sort these stacked news of all news by topic - even better. Could be named something like: 'pivot circles with streams'.

Improvement ideas for Google Accounts

Google Accounts need:
1. tiered profiles (company account, subaccounts, assignment of personal accounts.

1. Business accounts are necessary (hey, we run Google webmaster tools with a few people, why can we not use that to share a reader profile (we do) and a plus profile)?

Sharing accounts right now is a very big security hole, so that makes sub-accounts necessary.

2. Good thing about assigning personal accounts would be ... you can move them to another company at some time.

3. Business accounts are great, but they should 'collect' posts from sub-accounts - perhaps via stream, circle or 'segway' or however they might call it.

4. Add a 'dedupe' feature for posting ("other subaccounts posted already - do you really need to do this?")

google bookmarks moved to google notebooks

Not sure that has been communicated, but google bookmarks obviously were moved from Google docs (which looks nice in the new design and functionality) but is in google/notebook now. Editing, exporting is quite easy, and the categories from the bookmarks are now labels. Good idea, but needs improvement, because it does not show subcategories, so I might need to rename the labels for the subcategories. If I have a subcategory 'best practice' in the seo folder and again in the social folder, I now have all bookmarks with the 'best practice' label... a bit messy.

Overall I like the easy editing and especially that I can add comments and notes to the bookmarks.

I wonder when this will become 'social' and I can share my bookmarks, get comments on them and increase my 'human entity authority' :-).

PubCon Austin 2011 second day IA session

IA and content session
Do your keyword research first, then structure your site, then write content. Not particularly new but still valid, and one of the processes to follow, because fixing afterwards is expensive.

Go for a short path and flat hierarchy. People will 'opt out' after a few clicks, so make user flows easy and short. Give different ways to get to (the same) content.

IA is painful - but only when done too late.

Target.com has a really bad IA, Borders.com some better (well, it obviously did not help though ;-( ) according to the IA session at the Pubcon Austin 2011 (#pubcon).
